A Swedish law firm that works online
Avtalsfrid is a Swedish law firm (juristbyrå). We write and review the documents ourselves, under Swedish law, and put them online at a fixed price so people can deal with the ordinary legal paperwork of life without an hourly rate and a three-week wait.
What we do
Most legal needs are not unusual. Someone moves in with a partner and buys a flat together. Someone wants a will that leaves something to a person who would otherwise get nothing. A company takes on its first employee, or its second founder. These are well-trodden situations with settled law, and they do not require a bespoke engagement — they require a document that is correct, written by someone who knows the statute, and available when you need it.
That is what the catalogue is. Each document is drafted and reviewed by our lawyers, tied to the statute that governs it, and updated when the law changes. When a situation is genuinely complicated, we say so and offer the alternative rather than selling the template anyway.
Why an English section exists
A large number of people living in Sweden did not grow up with Swedish law and do not read Swedish comfortably. The advice they get is usually one of two unhelpful things: an English-language template written for another country's legal system, or a Swedish document nobody explains. Both fail in the same way — you end up signing something you have not understood.
So the whole site is available in English: the documents, the guides, the process, the support and a glossary of the Swedish terms the forms use. What stays in Swedish is the finished legal document itself, because that is what makes it work with Swedish banks, authorities, employers and courts. We would rather explain that clearly than offer an English document that quietly does not do the job.
How we work

- One fixed price, shown before you start, VAT included.
- You read the finished document before you pay for it.
- Free corrections if it does not fit.
What we will not do
We will not sell a template to someone whose situation needs advice. We will not claim an agreement is watertight when the underlying law says otherwise. We will not invent numbers about ourselves, and we do not publish reviews we have not received. If we are the wrong choice for what you are dealing with, the useful thing we can do is say so quickly.
