What a revocation of a prenuptial agreement does
Cancels an existing äktenskapsförord so that your property becomes marital property again. Like the original, the revocation only takes effect once it has been registered with the Swedish Tax Agency.
In Sweden this document is called Upphävande av äktenskapsförord. It is worth learning the Swedish term: it is what a bank, a housing association, an employer or an authority will ask you for, and searching for the English name alone will often turn up rules from another country that do not apply here. Does it have to be registered?
Yes. A Swedish marital property agreement only takes effect once it has been registered with the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket). We produce the document ready to be sent in; registration itself is done by the agency.
